Venue History

Walsall Football Supporters Club was originally formed in 1947 on part of the former Orgil’s Laundry building at the old Fellows Park.

It held numerous fundraising activities including shows and bingo nights in the gymnasium at Fellows Park and the offices it rented in Bradford Street.

The Supporters Club also ran a weekly draw, with donations made to Walsall FC in the 1950s and 1960s helping the club to survive several financial crises.

Following the move to Bescot in the early 90s, the Saddles Club re-opened in its current location on Saturday 11th August 1990 and continued to operate until its closure in 2018.
